Location was fantastic. Just being able to cross the road to the beach was amazing. There was plenty of room for the kids and adults to chill out separately or spend time together. The owners were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our trip. We had some queries over the hot tub but the owners helped to address these during the stay. This was my first experience of self catering in UK and I was very happy with it. The house was more than I expected and it's beach location was a bonus for our two small grandchildren, they didn't want to go home! The owners Sandra and Steve were very helpful and contacted us with restaurant suggestions and places to visit. They were easily contactable before and during the visit when I wanted to ask questions. Whilst we were there a sink in the en-suite was slow to empty, when we mentioned this to Steve he took immediate action and sorted it out. We can't wait to visit again. Mrs J, September 2019

Even though the photos show that this property is close to the shoreline, you don't really get it until you stand in the upper floor living space and gaze out of the windows. It's truly mesmerising! The owner waiting back for us to greet us personally, even though we had been caught up in Friday evening traffic-what a start to the holiday to have such a friendly face greeting us (along with homemade cake, chocolates and a bottle of wine). The property is amazingly well equipped with all the bedrooms having huge fluffy pillows and bedding to cosy up in. The copious amounts of bathrooms made family and friends living a breeze with plenty of heat and hot water for all. That aside, it didn't stop us jumping in the sauna every day after the long walks up and down the coast path, right on the doorstep. The upper floor open living space is where we spent most of our time (when not outside) and there were plenty of comfortable seating options all around the room. All the utensils you could wish for are in the kitchen if you chose to stay in a cook in the kitchen, but a short walk away is a host of places to eat from ice-creams at the sea-shanty cafe, through lunches to fabulous dinners at the Balck Seal. Lovely holiday destination Lovely place, very well equipped, high chair, travel cot and even stair gates are available. Very spacious living accommodation with parking for 3 cars or more, I'd assume the owner wouldn't have a problem with you bringing your own boat or jet ski along with you. There's nice lawns at the front and rear with a gate to the front border. The jacuzzi and sauna are on the lower level around the back ( accessible from the main house) along with two showers and even an outside court yard with a cleaning facility which was very handy when your coming in from the beach which is 100 yards away. WiFi is fast along with a smart tv loaded with all different channels. :-) m, July 2018

Great family holiday" We stayed here as a big family for a week in July. Really loved the place. It was perfect for all our needs and was great for the little toddler: close to the beach, travel cot, stair gates and toys/books included. The house also had a nice selection of DVDs, ample off road parking (we had three cars but I would say you could easily have four-five) and we loved the sauna. I would highly recommend this place. We have just had an amazing week staying at Anchorage House Trearddur Bay, with family & friends also staying in Porth house next door. A very thoughtful welcome touch by the owners on arrival to find the lovely gifts left for us. Wonderful location with glorious sunsets to see while sat on the balcony, and some great eateries in the locality to try out. Beautiful area to stay with some great walks and the beach directly opposite to while away the sunny days that we have had. Trearddur Bay has to be one of the prettiest bays on Anglesey and Anchorage House, with direct access to a small sandy cove within 30-40 steps from the front door has arguably the best spot in the whole of the bay. I just can't imagine a nicer spot than this, made even better by restricted local parking, which means you have almost exclusive use of the beach/cove. Anchorage House itself is well stocked and has plenty of extras like a DVD collection and childrens toys that you don't find in most holiday cottages. The owners were available to show us around the house and give advice on the local sights and places to visit. We stay in a lot of holiday cottages, but I would imagine we'll be regular visits to Anchorage House. Mr D, May 2018

This property was extremely easy to get to from where we were travelling from Manchester. We were met by the landlady who was extremely friendly and lovely and made us feel at home in her home. All the rooms were warm and spacious, the sitting room is stunning with views out over the bay. We had an exceptionally memorable 30th birthday party for my best friend, in beautiful surroundings. My friendship group book houses to catch up and get away for a weekend away from the kids most years and I would say this is the best we have ever been to - situation and the atmos of the house, absolutely would book again in the future. The location was overlooking the beach; waking up to the sea view every morning was pure joy. The house was in a great location and we found it a great base from which to explore Anglesey. The house itself had excellent facilities with enough space for a variety of adults and children, three bathrooms with showers and plenty of parking. A great added bonus was the veranda in which to sit and watch the sea whilst having breakfast or at the end of the day. It was especially wonderful watching the sunset after a busy day out. On wet days having the jacuzzi and sauna were welcoming although we did not use them much as we had far too much to occupy us with. Mrs L, June 2016

Porth House Feedback

This house was fantastic for us we loved staying here. The views were spectacular, I could just sit and stare out for ages, with the view every day looking different. We loved the log fire in the middle of the room and used that every day. We also loved the basement spa, especially after a day walking. The house was very clean and made us feel very covid safe. Everything we needed was there. I'm just sad it's booked up and we can't come back in October! Mrs C, August 2020

We have just returned from a fantastic holiday at Porth House. The house itself is amazing, deceivingly spacious inside with everything you may need for an enjoyable holiday. The Hot tub and Sauna are a real luxury, in line with the fixtures and furnishings throughout the property. Everything is top quality throughout - a real credit to the owners who are themselves a very friendly, warm, and helpful couple. We had a lovely welcome pack waiting for us when we arrived, containing some treats and everything we needed to get us started which was another nice touch. The photos really don't do this place any justice at all. The views from the front of the house are beautiful at all times of the day, from sunrise to sunset. The area itself has 3 beaches and a pub within a 5 minute walk, and more good quality restaurants just a 10 minute walk away. There are numerous walks in the area and lots of information to help find those perfect days out inside the house. Book now, you will not be disappointed!! Mr N, February 2018

The standard of the accommodation is exceptional. This is our second time visiting Porth House and once again it did not disappoint. We noticed improvements from our last visit including a topper on the master bed. We were super comfy! When the owner called me regarding the key handover arrangements (which I thought was wonderful service) I enquired as to the tog of duvet on the single bed my 3 year old would use. We were very surprised when we arrive and found she'd been out and bought a1tog together just for us. There are so many extra little touches included in this property from hand soap to fresh flowers. The owners have really thought of every little detail to make your stay amazing. The location of the house is outstanding. The view is stunning and it's such a safe cove for children to play on. Perfect home in stunning location Our first visit to Anglesey, we spent a week in Porth House and had the most wonderful holiday. The weather was very kind during our stay so we were able to make the most of the superb location. Loads of space in the three storey house, plenty of off road parking to the rear of the property. The location is stunning, views over the pretty sheltered cove of Porth Diana and being on the coastal path allows easy access on foot to Trearddur Bay itself with its beautiful golden sandy beach and plenty of places to eat and drink. We were lucky enough to meet Sandra the owner when we arrived (and again with Steve later in the week). Heather the caretaker showed us around the house. We had the warmest of welcomes and Sandra gave us lots of valuable information about places to visit and good restaurants etc. Sandra, Steve and their team clearly take pride in providing a home from home where you can totally relax in comfort. Spotlessly clean throughout (that's no mean feat when the house is right next to the beach!). All the little details are taken care of, we didn't need to take any kitchen supplies, they were all provided, plus pretty boxes of tissues, hand soaps, all towels, face flannels but the best thing was the wonderful welcome gifts of fresh flowers, locally baked cake, chocolates, wine, milk - all very much appreciated, thank you. Very easy driving around the Anglesey area gives easy access to lots of beautiful scenery. The Snowdon mountain range is visible to the rear of the property on a clear day. An unexpectedly sunny day provided the most breathtaking views of the mountain range during a drive over to Llanberis. A visit to the Halen Môn Anglesey Sea Salt Company is a must for the factory tour and shop, I had no idea salt could taste so good! RSPB South Stack near Trearddur Bay is incredibly beautiful and a must for nature lovers of all ages with a great café and gift shop. We visited three times! Overall the quality of this holiday home is excellent. You won't be disappointed and with a spa in the basement (6 person jacuzzi and sauna with double shower area to rinse off etc) - total luxury! Stunning! We had a week's stay in September at the lovely Porth House. When we arrived the house was warm and toasty and we had a lovely welcome pack waiting for us. The house is located in a stunning spot, with the sea a stone's throw away. Most evenings it was mild enough to have the balcony door open to enjoy the sound of the sea from the lounge. We managed to have a log fire the night before we left, the rest of the week was too warm for one. It was so homely! I have to be honest the jacuzzi and sauna really helped us decide to stay at Porth House and we were not disappointed! The jacuzzi is HUGE! So relaxing to spend time in there after a day exploring the stunning surrounding area in a beautiful part of Wales. The owners of this beautiful house have really thought of everything. If you like cooking you will find a very well equipped kitchen. The attention to detail is impressive from a golf umbrella in case it rains to a picnic basket if you want to dine al fresco! It is tastefully decorated and a home from home (with a better view!). We have already recommended the Porth House to a friend we were that impressed. This was our first visit but not our last.
